prctice by VHVL VHVL hails from the depths of New York. There’s a sinister complexity to the non-compositions this prodigy brings. Although ‘prctice’ is a snippet of what’s in store for VHVL’s cave of wonders, it exemplifies one of the many score-like titles such as ‘memo’ and ‘leaky’ in her holster of bullet-sized but very powerful sounds. The organic element of guitar melded with the lo-fi digital basspunch in ‘prctice’ effortlessly manages to zone into a solid venture. Alongside are the chopped up lyrics which translate into angular Picasso-esque shards of sultry vocal samples. I honestly see potential in this East Coast sound assassin. Would love to work with her! She can take puzzle pieces from different sets and make them fit accordingly. Audible artwork, indeed. | |
